Service Description

There is a big problem at your local zoo: the animals are unhappy! They have outgrown their cages and are bored by their basic, concrete surroundings. In these lessons, students will learn about engineering, mathematics, animals, and habitats while advancing their literacy skills through a variety of read alouds. They will work as zoologists while using the Engineering Design Process to design and build solutions to a variety of engineering challenges. Campers will have the opportunity to interact with real animals during a special visit on our last day of camp! This camp is for JUNIOR engineers (aged 6-8) and features hands-on engineering disguised as play. We are excited to be partnering with LaserTopia and Petland to offer fun STEM-based camp activities, laser tag and arcade time, and a visit with real animals! Camp runs Monday-Friday 9:00am-4:00pm with early drop off at 8:30am and late pick-up at 4:30pm. One day drop-in option available on request- please email winnipeg@engineeringforkids.com directly to inquire. Campers must bring their own nut-free lunch. Food is also available for purchase from LaserTopia. Snacks and water always provided.
