Service Description

Campers will learn about mechanical engineering and the EFK Engineering Design Process through this playful camp about playgrounds. Playgrounds have many simple machines in them: levers, wheels and axles, inclines and planes, pulleys, and more! Through books and the design process, campers will learn about these simple machines and explore what it takes to design them. They will ask questions, brainstorm, design, build, test and improve mini models of playground equipment in order to create their dream playground for their town. We can't wait to play! This camp is for JUNIOR engineers (aged 6-8) and features hands-on engineering disguised as play. We are excited to be partnering with LaserTopia to offer fun STEM-based camp activities AND laser tag and arcade time! Camp runs Monday-Friday 9:00am-4:00pm with early drop off at 8:30am and late pick-up at 4:30pm. One day drop-in option available on request- please email winnipeg@engineeringforkids.com directly to inquire. Campers must bring their own nut-free lunch. Food is also available for purchase from LaserTopia. Snacks and water always provided.
