Service Description
Over 4 weeks, students will explore 4 different disciplines of engineering. Fun for new and returning students alike, these 45-minute classes are just long enough to spark curiosity in a new science concept, ending with a neat take-home item to explore further. Parents are encouraged to stay for the class, but drop students off and pick up at the end of class time by filling out a permission form. WEDNESDAYS JANUARY 8-29 5:45pm-6:30pm Dakota Community Centre (1188 Dakota Street) - 2nd Floor Board Room WEEKLY SCHEDULE - JUNIORS (Ages 5-7) - 5:45pm-6:30pm: - Wednesday, January 8 - CHEMICAL ENGINEERING - Secret Inkers: use chemistry to make hidden messages appear and disappear! - Wednesday, January 15 - MECHANICAL ENGINEERING - Fidget Spinner and Popper: craft 2 toys! - Wednesday, January 22 - AEROSPACE ENGINEERING - Moonshot: explore forces, impact, and durability in this fresh new take on an egg drop - no eggs required! - Wednesday, January 29 - ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING - Variable Resistor: discover circuits, switches, and conductivity! This class is intended for ages 5-7. Please contact winnipeg@engineeringforkids.com or 204-808-3019 to discuss registering kids outside of these age guidelines, such as siblings in both junior and apprentice age groups. Pay-as-you-go option available: register for the session here and select "Pay in Person". You are only charged for the classes you attend.
