Service Description

Welcome to the RoboGames Carnival, a place where robots can have fun, compete, and go on exciting adventures. In this camp, students will build their own robot using the LEGO® Spike Prime robotics kit. They will learn the basics of block coding and learn to program touch sensors, color sensors, and distance sensors. Finally, they will use the EFK Engineering Design Process to complete exciting, carnival-themed challenges and competitions. Campers will also learn to design their own apps using introductory JavaScript as time allows. This camp is geared for engineers aged 8-11, with activities that can be scaled in difficulty to suit student interest. We are excited to be partnering with North Kildonan United Church to offer a camp with plenty of time inside working on engineering projects and related arts and crafts, and plenty of time outside using NKUC's beautiful green space with games, sports, water toys, bouncers, and more! Camp runs Monday-Friday 9:00am-4:00pm with free early drop off at 8:30am and late pick-up to 4:30pm. One day drop-in option available on request- please email winnipeg@engineeringforkids.com directly to inquire. Snacks and water are always available, but campers must bring their own nut-free lunch.
