Service Description

In this camp, campers will explore a few fairy tales from different points of view and engage in activities to investigate solutions for each fairy tale’s obstacles. They will explore several different areas of engineering skills. As environmental engineers, campers will discover coral reefs and create a model of a food chain. Campers will use mechanical engineering skills to design and create different modes of transportation, such as a getaway vehicle and a wagon. Lastly, as civil engineers, campers will construct a bridge that absorbs sound so the troll doesn’t awaken, and a tower fit for a princess! This camp is geared for engineers aged 4-7, with activities that can be scaled in difficulty to suit student interest. We are excited to be partnering with North Kildonan United Church to offer a camp with plenty of time inside working on engineering projects and related arts and crafts, and plenty of time outside using NKUC's beautiful green space with games, sports, water toys, bouncers, and more! Camp runs Monday-Friday 9:00am-4:00pm with free early drop off at 8:30am and late pick-up to 4:30pm. One day drop-in option available on request- please email winnipeg@engineeringforkids.com directly to inquire. Snacks and water are always available, but campers must bring their own nut-free lunch.
