Service Description

In this camp, campers will explore a few fairy tales from different points of view and engage in activities to investigate solutions for each fairy tale’s obstacles. They will explore several different areas of engineering skills. As environmental engineers, campers will discover coral reefs and create a model of a food chain. Campers will use mechanical engineering skills to design and create different modes of transportation, such as a getaway vehicle and a wagon. Lastly, as civil engineers, campers will construct a bridge that absorbs sound so the troll doesn’t awaken, and a tower fit for a princess! This camp is geared for engineers aged 5-7, with activities that can be scaled in difficulty to suit student interest. We are excited to be partnering with Serratus Movement Centre to offer half a day featuring fun STEM-based camp activities, and half a day on the parkour gym with SMC’s coaches! Camp runs Monday-Thursday 9:00am-4:00pm with free early drop off at 8:30am and late pick-up to 4:30pm. Campers interested only in parkour are encouraged to join the SMC camp instead- please contact Serratus Movement Centre directly. Half day options are also available for campers who are only interested in the engineering part of the day. Please email winnipeg@engineeringforkids.com for more information. Snacks and water are always available, but campers must bring their own nut-free lunch.
