Service Description
During this week of camp, students will take a comprehensive look at NASA’s landers and orbiters that are currently conducting important research on Mars. We will examine the anatomy of various orbiters and landers in order to gain a deeper understanding of how they assist in the work of NASA’s scientists and engineers. Students will learn about the technology and innovation that is required for aerospace engineers to be able to, one day, safely transport human beings to the surface of Mars. Each day, classes will use EFK’s Engineering Design Process to engage in exciting, hands-on STEM challenges with real-world connections to NASA and aerospace engineering. This camp is for APPRENTICE engineers (aged 8-11) and MASTER engineers (aged 12-14). Apprentice and Master students work on the same projects, with exciting extensions for Master students. We are excited to be partnering with LaserTopia to offer fun STEM-based camp activities AND laser tag and arcade time! Camp runs Monday-Friday 9:00am-4:00pm with early drop off at 8:30am and late pick-up at 4:30pm. One day drop-in option available on request- please email winnipeg@engineeringforkids.com directly to inquire. Daily lunch is included.
