PD Day: Robo Battle

Need something to do when there's no school? EFK Winnipeg is pleased to be offering a Battle Bots PD day camp! Using Lego Spike Prime robot kits, participants will spend the day learning the kit's different sensors and actuators, how these components can be put together, and how to control them with coding. The day ends with an epic robot battle! January 31, 2025 9:00am-4:00pm early drop off from 8:00am / late pick up to 5:00pm available All About Theatre Studios (288 McDermot Avenue) Participants work in teams of two. Several challenges throughout the day will ensure everyone has ample time to try coding and building the robot. If you are signing up with a friend, please let us know so we can pair you together! Individual sign ups are also welcome and will be partnered based on age. Our robotics classes are recommended for ages 7-12. Please contact winnipeg@engineeringforkids.com or 204-808-3019 to discuss registering kids outside of these age guidelines. You may also wish to come for only part of the day- please contact us directly. Kids should bring their own nut-free lunch and snacks, a water bottle, and indoor shoes or socks. Kids may also choose to bring a quiet activity for free time. EFK is not responsible for items brought from home. Capacity for this class is extremely limited and deposit is required to secure your spot.
