Explore concepts of current and resistors. - Light Up Greeting Cards (Electrical Engineering): create a greeting card with a light up feature. Explore conductivity and circuits. - Toothpick Drawbridge (Civil Engineering): construct a bridge that can be raised and lowered. - Candy Catapults (Mechanical Engineering): build a working catapult! Explore concepts of accuracy, precision, and energy - New Heights Helicopter (Aerospace Engineering): create a craft stick helicopter with a unique fuselage! Explore size and weights constraints, torque, and lift. - Super Satellites (Aerospace Engineering): design a satellite to undergo serious testing! Explore parts of a satellite and testing criteria. - Magnet Mania (Electrical Engineering): build a magnetometer which can detect the presence of magnets! Explore magnetic fields and polarity. - Habitation Imagination (Civil Engineering): construct a spaghetti building! Explore strength of materials and problem solving. - Slick Solutions (Environmental Engineering): design a system to contain and recover oil spilled in water. Explore real-world implications of engineering designs. - Bottle Rockets (Aerospace Engineering): design, build, and launch rockets! Explore how the parts of a rocket affect how far it can travel. **requires outdoor space with grass to launch - please allow 90 minutes for bottle rockets workshop.
