Welcome to STEAM Club! Fun for new and returning students alike, STEAM club participants will get to colour, craft, and create as they learn about science and engineering. We have junior and apprentice classes! Our apprentice class runs 60 minutes, with plenty of opportunity for students to design, test, and improve their projects. There is 1 instructor for every 8 students. Parents may stay for the class, or drop students off and pick up at the end of class time. TUESDAYS 5:30pm-6:30pm Linden Woods Community Centre (414 Lindenwood Dr. W) September 29-December 16 (10 classes) MEDIEVAL MAYHEM: Recreate the engineering of medieval times! From catapults and castles to windmills and jousting, this 10-week session has lots of opportunity for design. Each activity takes two classes, with time to learn, design, build, test, and improve each design. Plus, students will build tons of take-home items over the course of the session that keep the fun going after the session ends. This is a science-based class with an emphasis on crafting and creating. It is recommended for age 8-12. All activities can be modified to increase or decrease difficulty for individual students. Please note, this class is designed to be attended in full and does not allow for one-time drop-ins. If you'd like to sample the classes before attending, you may do so as long as there is space. If you'd like to register but know you will be missing a class, please let us know before registering to be credit one class fee. Please email winnipeg@engineeringforkids.com for more info on registration modifications. PLEASE NOTE: If you have children in both junior and apprentice age groups and would like to keep them together, please contact winnipeg@engineeringforkids.com to discuss which class is better suited.
