Jul. 21-24 : Coding @ SMC
summer day camp for ages 8-12
Service Description
We're back at Serratus Movement Centre for 3 weeks! From July 21-24, let's get ready to rumble! Using LEGO® Spike Prime kits, we'll learn how to code sensors and actuators to complete a series of training challenges, all culminating in an epic robot battle on the last day! Coding is done in teams of 2- you can request a team mate on the registration form! This camp is a combo camp in partnership with Serratus Movement Centre. Campers will spend half of every day learning coding with us, and half of the day learning parkour with SMC coaches. This unique camp experience has been a huge hit with campers in the past, and we're excited to be able to offer it again! JULY 21-24 (Monday-Thursday) 9am-4pm Free early drop off from 8:30am / Free late pick up to 4:30pm Serratus Movement Centre (1-55 Henlow Bay) $300/ week All participants should bring a water bottle and nut-free lunch + snacks. We do have access to a fridge and microwave. This camp is intended for ages 8-12, but younger kids with some computer experience may be able to fully participate. Please email winnipeg@engineeringforkids.com to discuss registering children outside of this age range. A one-day deposit is required to hold your spot. Registrations cancelled prior to the start of camp will be eligible for refund or credit. No-shows after the start of camp are non-refundable. IF REGISTRATION IS FULL: Please email winnipeg@engineeringforkids.com to join the waitlist. We may be able to open additional weeks of camp if there are enough campers waiting for a spot! Please note - SMC runs parkour-only summer camps at the same time. If your camper is only interested in the parkour portion of the day, please register for SMC's camps instead! If your camper is interested in only the coding portion of the day, we may be able to accommodate half-day registrations- please email to inquire. We are not able to offer one-day drop-in options for camps at SMC.
