Service Description

Using LEGO® Spike Prime robotics kit, students will learn how to build robots with sensors and actuators, and program them using block coding to complete amazing challenges! Our winter theme is here: Rescue Bots! In this class, students will program robots to complete recue missions in simulated disaster zones - think rescuing lost hikers, navigating an avalanche, and repairing a fallen bridge. At the intermediate level, students are given step-by-step solutions to learn a coding concept, then presented with a challenge for which they have to design and build their own bot and code. In addition, intermediate students work without a teammate (the beginner class is structured for teams of 2). This theme does not repeat ANY challenges from ANY of our previous coding classes! Recommended for ages 11-14, but some younger students who have previously completed some beginner classes may be suited to this class - please contact winnipeg@engineeringforkids.com or 204-808-3019 directly to discuss registering kids outside of the recommended ages.
