Fort Garry Coding Club - 6:20pm-7:30pm
Block coding for ages 9-14
Service Description
Using LEGO® Spike Prime robotics kit, students will learn how to build robots with sensors and actuators, and program them using block coding to complete amazing challenges! Our winter theme is here: Rescue Bots! In this class, students will program robots to complete recue missions in simulated disaster zones - think rescuing lost hikers, navigating an avalanche, and repairing a fallen bridge. At the intermediate level, students are given step-by-step solutions to learn a coding concept, then presented with a challenge for which they have to design and build their own bot and code. In addition, students in this session will work without a teammate. This theme does not repeat ANY challenges from ANY of our previous coding classes! There are two class options: 5pm-6:10pm, or 6:20pm-7:30pm. Use this page to register to 6:20pm-7:30pm. The classes content is the same in each session. There are only 5 students in each class, so every student will be able to go at their own pace with instructor assistance- beginner coders are welcome to join the earlier class.
