There's always something new to discover at Engineering in the Exchange! Over 8 weeks, students will explore 5 different disciplines of engineering, with time for games and on-theme crafts as well. Fun for new and returning students alike, each session ends with a take-home item built in class under instructor guidance, with opportunity to modify designs for students looking for an extra challenge! Located in the exchange district, this two-hour class is perfect for parents to drop kids off and run some errands before returning to pick up their children (parents are also welcome to stay in studio during the class!). MONDAYS SEPTEMBER 23-NOVEMBER 25 (no classes October 14 or November 11) 6:00pm-8:00pm Theme: Intro to Engineering All About Theatre Studios (288 McDermot Avenue) WEEKLY SCHEDULE: Monday, September 23 - MECHANICAL ENGINEERING - Candy Catapults Monday, September 30 - MECHANICAL ENGINEERING - Car Jousting Monday, October 7 - CIVIL ENGINEERING - Toothpick Drawbridges Monday, October 14 - NO CLASS Monday, October 21 - ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING - Flashlights & Light Up Greeting Cards Monday, October 28 - CHEMICAL ENGINEERING - Potions Class: Slime & Bouncing Bubbles (Costumes encouraged!) Monday, November 4 - CHEMICAL ENGINEERING / AEROSPACE ENGINEERING - Lift Off Chemical Reaction Rocket Fuel & Straw Rockets Monday, November 11 - NO CLASS Monday, November 18 - AEROSPACE ENGINEERING - Paper Airplanes & Craft Stick Helicopters Monday, November 25 - AEROSPACE ENGINEERING - Archery You can sign up to attend any number of classes. This class is intended for ages 6-10. Please contact winnipeg@engineeringforkids.com or 204-808-3019 to discuss registering kids outside of these age guidelines. If not signing up for full session, please call or email us directly to let us know which weeks you will be attending. $20 per class or $140 for all 8. Note: this facility does not have a parking lot, but there is a loading zone in front of the building which can be used to drop off. Street parking is free after 5:30pm!
