Corydon Coding Club - RoboBattles
Block coding for ages 9+
Service Description
Let’s get ready to rumble! Over 3 classes, students will learn the basics of block coding using the LEGO® Spike Prime robotics kit, including colour sensors, touch sensors, distance sensors, and motors. They will design and construct their own LEGO® robot to complete in a head-to-head battle on the last day! This class is beginner-friendly, while also not repeating any coding challenges from the previous RoboGames class! Recommended for ages 9-14, but some younger students with previous experience with LEGO® or block coding may wish to participate - please email winnipeg@engineeringforkids.com directly to discuss registering kids outside of the recommended ages. This unique class covers all of the sensors and motors in the robot kit, with time to design a battle bot on the last day, in just 3 x 2.5 hour sessions: SATURDAYS APRIL 19 – MAY 10 (no class May 3) 9:30am-12:00pm Corydon Community Centre – River Heights (1370 Grosvenor Ave) All participants should bring indoors shoes or socks, and may wish to bring a water bottle and nut-free snack.
