Aug. 5-8: Junior Builders @ Hide n Seek

We are excited to announce our new partnership with Hide n Seek Winnipeg for 2 special weeks of summer camp for our youngest campers! Located just outside Winnipeg at 305 Fort Whyte Way, Hide n Seek is home to a huge indoor play structure and spacious private party rooms, making the perfect venue for an engineering summer camp with plenty of room for play! This 4 day camp is perfect for junior civil and mechanical engineers looking for a shorter camp commitment, with 1, 2, and 3 day options available as well. AUGUST 5-8 (Tuesday-Friday) 9am-4pm Free early drop off from 8:30am / Free late pick up to 4:30pm Hide n Seek (305 Fort Whyte Way) $80/day $150 for 2 days $215 for 3 days $275 for full camp Campers will learn about simple machines as they build with LEGO® to make functional machines! They'll also get to use craft materials to create their own take-home machines. This camp also features a literacy component as each new activity is introduced with a picture book. Plus, campers will enjoy daily play on Hide n Seek's amazing play structure! TUESDAY: Silly Seesaws + Super Swings This day is all about levers and swings! We'll construct mini play grounds out of LEGO® and craft catapults and cup-and-ball toys. WEDNESDAY: Captivating Coasters This day is all about ramps! We'll build LEGO® with inclines and declines, plus design and build our own marble runs. THURSDAY: Pushes and Pulleys This day is all about pulleys! We'll explore forces and how to manipulate them with pulleys using a guided LEGO® build, then watch a real-world pulley in action as we craft our own drawbridges. FRIDAY: Merry Round We Go This day is all about wheels and axles! We'll create a functional tabletop LEGO® merry-go-round, then design and build our own wheeled, wind-powered vehicles. All participants should bring a water bottle and nut-free lunch + snacks. Hide n Seek also has lunch available for purchase for $10/ day + gst. This camp is intended for ages 4-7. Please email winnipeg@engineeringforkids.com to discuss registering children outside of this age range. Campers must be fully potty trained. Deposit required to hold your spot. Registrations cancelled prior to the start of camp will be eligible for refund or credit. No-shows after the start of camp are non-refundable.
